Wet 'N Wild

Jay Bird is a big believer in a daily bath.  And now that he is completely on solid foods, and eats everything out there, we need to hose off the built up gunk to keep him from attracting flies.  He's really too big for the whale of a tale tub, but I don't want to break my back bending over my whirlpool tub to wash him.  Now that he sits up very well and for long periods of time by himself, we might start actually using the tub in the downstairs bathroom.  It's hard to believe that a year ago we lived in a house with one bathtub that was used constantly by five people.  Now we live in a house that has so many bathrooms that we have used the downstairs one for "broom and mop storage" since we moved in!

If I concentrate really hard, I might be able to grab this stuff.

Oooooooohhhhhh, it's slippery!

Little whale cup, you are delicious!

Make sure you get my good side.

I Heart This Drawing

Emmy brought me her little drawing pad and said " I made a heart!  I made a heart!"  I'm pretty sure that this is the first drawing she has done that didn't need an explanation!  Emmy was so proud that she asked me to take her picture.

Timmy's Graduation!

After five years of very hard work and attending school during the day and evenings, Timmy is finally finished with his electrician apprenticeship program.  He is now a proud graduate of the NECA/IBEW Local Union 26 JATC.  With that comes a spiffy new diploma, a gift card, a new tool apron (Score!) and big raise.  Timmy was also recognized for maintaining a 90% or above GPA and for having only one demerit (one tardy) in his five years of school.  If only my middle school students could say the same!
The graduation was held at Martin's Crosswinds in MD.  It was a pretty fancy place and teh food was fantastic.  The hard hats that were our centerpieces were raffled off by ticket--if the green ticket was under your coffee cup, you got to take it home (from your table).  Unfortunately, it was the other party of 4 at our table that got to keep it :(
