Jason: Two Months Old

"Hi, I'm new here"

"I'm not starving, I'll tell you that much"

Jason is two months old today!  I could eat him up with a spoon, he is just so adorable!  And if a higher being would guarantee that all my future babies would be this good, I would totally go Duggar-style and have a dozen more.  Jason has happily settled into a routine so easily that it's scary.  He's in bed for 12 hours of sleep every night by 7 PM, only waking at 1 and 5 AM for feedings.  These feedings only last 10 minutes, and he's right back to sleep.  He's quickly learning to use real nap times instead of just cat napping all day.  When awake, he loves to be talked to and will coo and smile right back at you.  He definitely recognizes the familiar faces of his mom, dad, and siblings.

Someone else had to get in on the "sticker month" photo session.  A little jealous, perhaps?

Look at that neck control!

Celebrating Christmas Early

Because Cammy is jetting off to an island off South America for the holidays, we got together early to exchange presents.  We did the gifts on Friday night because Caroline got an ice cream maker (a very nice aqua Cuisinart) and we knew she would want to whip up a couple batches with it (we made peanut butter ice cream on Friday and eggnog ice cream on Saturday).  Caroline also received a Razor berry scooter (bright pink and blue).  Garrett got an erector set for making helicopters/vehicles and a set of Hot Wheels cars (which Emmy stole immediately).  Emily got a bike helmet but no bike!  (Psssssttt....don't tell, but Santa is bringing her a Strider bike on Christmas morning).

Like Father, Like Son

I took Jason outside to get the mail on Friday afternoon, and while carrying him back inside, I noticed he had fallen asleep.  Completely conked out on the little walk to the mailbox and back.  Timmy was crashed out on the couch, so I laid Jason right next to him, expecting both to wake up in a few minutes.  But they stayed like that for over an hour!  Aren't my boys adorable?!
