Jason's Graduation!

Jason's graduation fell on May 18th!  He was so excited for us to hear his song "Five Little Fishies" with props and everything!  We enjoyed the cute little ceremony and then had some celebration cake.  Jason took some pics with his best friend Andrew, who will be attending kindergarten at the same school at Jason!  Fingers crossed they get the same teacher  :)  Jason had a truly wonderful time these last 2 years at King George Preschool.  They have definitely prepared him for kindergarten!

Garrett turns 18!

It was an action-packed week, starting with Garrett's birthday!  He turned 18 on Thursday, May 17!  He likes to point out constantly that he's "an adult now" so we'll see how that pans out when he runs out of clean clothes and needs a place to sleep :)  Camm and Carrie were both in town for Garrett's birthday so we celebrated in high style with a dinner at the steakhouse Fahrenheit 312 in downtown F'Burg.  Then it was back to the house for some cake and ice cream.  Camm brought up a family favorite--almond cake from Sugar Plum Bakery--and it had a cute scuba diver on the side!

Climbing Fun Party!

Em and Jason were invited to a friend's birthday, which was held at Fun Land.  I haven't been to Fun Land since Caroline and Garrett were around 6 and 8.  Back then, it was the kind of low-rent play area where mothers didn't watch their kids too closely and you really had to keep one hand on your wallet at all times.  But what a turn around in just 10 years  :)  It's so much better (and cleaner!) than it used to be!  My two wanted to do everything, but they started at the climbing walls first.  Then it was onto bumper cars, laser tag, go cart racing, etc.  No fear of heights here!

So proud of himself!

Emily was dying to try these pegs.  It looked like she was in Super Mario brothers!

Made it to the top!

This was a very cool wall where both kids could each climb one side at the same time.  The wall was made of clear plastic so they could see each other while they made it up the wall!

Garrett & Abby: Prom 2018

Well, King George likes to keep it real by having their senior prom on a FRIDAY.  Guess how many parents complained that the kid wouldn't be able to get ready and go to dinner before the dance??  A million.  So the kids got a HALF DAY off school on Friday to have primping time.  Geez.  Next time, just have it on a Saturday like the rest of the world!  But I digress.....
Garrett and Abby went for Prom Round 2!  This year, Abby chose a beautiful ivory gold dress and had to have it altered.  She ended up with extra fabric, so she had the seamstress make Garrett a matching tie and pocket square!  :)  They were adorably coordinating!  They started with dinner at Old Towne Steak and Seafood, then headed over to the Old Silk Inn for the actual dance.
Check out the pics below.  Seriously, could they be more adorable?!?!
