They sent us home from school on Friday, March 13 and said we'd return in 2 weeks. Two weeks came and went and as it turns out, school as we knew it was over for the year. With no actual school work or lesson plans or anything required, we fell into a routine of basically entertaining ourselves while Tim was at work. Tim was/is considered essential and is working 4 10-hour days with Fridays off. This schedule came about because of his job's need to have the building site "people free" to disinfect for 72 hours-- Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Tim's currently working on the Air and Space Museum renovation, a project that is planned to take about 7 years to complete. At home, I just tried to keep the kids happy and entertained, like a cruise director. We took plenty of walks, did crafts, and played games.
