Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Emily came home with a notice about an upcoming field trip to Westmoreland Berry Farm to visit the pumpkin patch.  I signed on as a chaperone because spending a day with 4 year olds is right up my alley.  So we climbed the steps to a little yellow bus and headed over to the wagon rides and goats.

Yes, a little cold and rainy that day!

Emily was so excited about the rotting and deflated pumpkin behind her.  She said it was a "candy corn pumpkin" because it was yellow, white, and orange.  Gross and observant at the same time!

Emily & Jason's Birthday Party!

We figured, until these kids figure out that they have birthdays a month and a day apart, why not keep celebrating together?  It means that everyone we would invite to the party only has to make the trek to King George once instead of twice!  The gym was such a hit with the kids last year that we did it again!  I went with a "birthday splash" theme and make everything "under the sea".

Baits and lures!

I love this gym!  Two hours of running around like crazy and they sleep like babies when they get home!

Emma and Caroline were on hand to help out....and hog the trampoline.

Fall Festival 2015

As always, we were bright and early for the Fall Festival parade!  We got our usual spot across from the BB & T and despite Jay's face above, we really did have a great time!  The kids brought their Halloween buckets so that they could collect all of the candy thrown during the parade, and we came home with lots of favorites for the kids (and mom and dad).

We were first at the face painting booth!  They didn't even charge us!

Jay went with hand-painting:  witch's hat and pumpkin

The parade has begun.....and is ear-blasting loud!

The kids waved and held their ears while the fire trucks came by.

Geet's band is coming!

There he is!

"I didn't see Geet!  I missed him!"

St. Anthony's Catholic church was a new addition to the parade...

and these guys were interesting...but wait, there's more!

A miniature (fake) pope!  Complete with Secret Service agents!  It was hysterical!

I bless you, my children!

Love the fake legs hanging out of the back, but isn't a school bus on a Saturday scary enough?!
