Garrett's Band Concert 12.5.2011

Garrett is a second year band student and plays the trombone. He performed a couple of holiday tunes at the concert with his sixth grade band. He also gets to play the African drums during music class and we got to see how he wails on the bongo at the concert too.

Disclaimer: I have a very old camera and the lights in the gym were horrible. Also, I had about the worse seat in the house. Please have pity on me when you look at the following pics. Garrett is tucked in between the girl in the red hat and the girl in the green shirt. You can barely see the top of his head! Can you believe this was the best pic I got of him playing the trombone??
Don't know the official name of this African instrument, but he basically taps a hollow stick with another stick.
