Emily: 22 Months Old

What a little ham muffin!  I swear, the pic above should have the caption "Praise Jesus!".  Emily is a hoot.  She has grown up so much since starting back at daycare last month.  She runs in every morning, ready to put her taggy blanket, bear, and Elmo in her cubby.  She still gets a little clingy when it's time for me to leave, but she's getting better.  It always helps if Sissy or Geet comes in with me to drop her off.
She's addicted to Timmy's Greek (a.k.a. expensive) yogurt and must have one every morning.  Forget the Go Gurt, this girl has nice tastes!  She's quite the expert at using a spoon and fork.
Emily is a real cheeser for the camera too.  She's obsessed with being on the other side of the camera.  If I pull out the digital to get a photo, she says "cheese!" then holds out her hands immediately for me to hand the camera to her so that she can take some shots too.  I've been able to placate her with an old 35 mm I have that still flashes when you push the button.
Emily likes:  hanging out in the baby's room; going through the baby's clothes; all foods; Edy's real fruit bars; going to the park; tall slides and climbing equipment; playing outside; going on walks; "helping" Mommy with laundry and dishes; playing in the van
Emily dislikes:  almost nothing!  She's pretty easy going.  She doesn't like to get out her pjs as soon as she wakes up.  She has started to play the control factor on getting her diaper changed, like running away or insisting that she be the one to put a new diaper on.
New developments:  On the language front, Emily is soaring daily.  She parrots EVERYTHING that Timmy and I say!  She has started to put words together well, like asking "Where Sissy go?" when Caroline leaves the room.  She can clearly repeat every word we say for her, though she doesn't always remember what the word was later.  Her newest favorite color is yellow, and she seeks out yellow objects so that she can tell me it's yellow.
