Jason: Eight Weeks Old

Not officially two months old (that happens next Monday--on my first day back at work!)  but this Wednesday, Jason will be eight weeks old.  The weeks just fly by.  The days can get a little long, especially if I don't have any plans and we're just hanging out at home.  But the weeks--they just fly on by.
Jason likes to smile for people now.  If he can catch your eye (he likes eye contact) and you make funny noises at him, you are rewarded with a giant grin.  He even imitates sounds, like when I coo at him.

Big yawn!  Jason has always been a very predictable sleeper.  It's a bath at 7 pm, a sleeper and swaddler, feeding on the Boppy pillow by 7:30, and lights out by 8 PM.  Jason recently switched over to his own room, when we got back from our hospital visit.  His room is tiny, so it's easy to run the humidifier and keep the room like a sauna, which helps with his coughing and congestion.  We broke out Aunt Carrie's video monitor for the first time and it's been a life saver.

"Aaaahhhh!  Oh, that sunfish mirror is scary!"
"Where did these lights come from?  And music too?"

 "I am utterly captivated......"
See how long he is?!  Jason is completely in 3-6 months clothes at this point and a size 2 diaper.  We have our official two month check up on Dec. 20th.
