Kings Dominion-- let the fun begin!

We headed out Monday afternoon for our maiden voyage to Kings Dominion.  We haven't had season passes there in 2 years since we did Busch Gardens last year.  This year, with Jay being old enough to go, we opted to go to the closer amusement park.  Tim got home from work, and 45 minutes later, we were pulling up to Kings Dominion.  In  the last 2 years, they were bought out by another company, so it's no longer Paramount Kings Dominion.  Which meant that with a new sponsor came new rides.  We headed to the kiddie section, now named "Planet Snoopy".  I can't for the life of me remember what they used to call it....Rugrat Palace?  Ankle Biter Village?  Who knows.
The kiddie section has been drastically improved, with way more rides than they used to have.  We hung out in that section alone for almost 3 hours.  And the place wasn't even crowded.  Enjoy some pics!
It's the 40th anniversary of KD, so expect lots of celebrations this season!

We topped out in the blue section (40 inches) with only our pony tail making it to 42 inches.

Emily's first roller coaster ride.....and she ran right to the front car!  I was worried that she wouldn't make the cut for height requirements and I would be forced to squeeze in next to her in that tiny car!

Jason's love for all dogs came to a head when he found this Snoopy statue.

Finally, something both kids could do together that didn't involve me or Timmy squeezing into a seat!  Jay was in LOVE with these trucks!

"what?  get out?  I don't think so lady, you better put this Charlie Brown truck around the track again!"

A classic, the airplanes that go up and down.

While Emily went on rides that were good with her height, Jay managed to con Tim into taking him to the trucks again!  You could just see his tiny head while he was making the rounds.

But I'm so damn cute in my pink truck!

Sir, I believe you require a booster seat in this vehicle.
