It's decided. After watching Emily play with a plastic basket....for an hour....I have decided to get her the following items for her first birthday: a cardboard box, a roll of aluminum foil, and a sock. I truly believe that she doesn't need the latest gizmos or toys that speak Spanish, especially after watching her play with a basket...for an hour (and no, it wasn't even with the toys in the basket!). On a developmental note, it seems that Emily has learned to accessorize, as the basket became a hat about a dozen times.
