Chili Fest 2013

On a lark, I bought tickets a week ago for Chili Fest in F'Burg.  They were a little pricey since kids 10 and under were free (had to buy 4 tickets) but worth it for a day of entertainment and free chili samples.  There we are above, getting ready to storm the fairgrounds and stake our territory with camping chairs for the bands.

They had a few free activities for kids, but you had to pay $2....to ride in a car....that required you to turn a wheel with your hands in order to move.

Garrett was king at scoring free swag!

This lady from Fantasy Face Painting was methodical (aka--kinda slow) but but her results were awesome!  so we waited an hour in line to get Emily's face done.

She asked for "a green butterfly!"

This lady in the crazy butterfly outfit was obviously not loved enough in her childhood and required attention from strangers all day.  She effectively blocked the first three songs by Lonestar.
