We waited for Emily's belly button stump to fall off before advancing from the sponge bath to the real bath tub. That little dried up raisin plopped off when she was exactly one week old, so we got her in the tub the next day. She seemed to like the real bath tub more than the sponge bath (less screaming). Considering that she can only get so dirty in a typical day, I'm thinking that she'll only have to endure bathtime a couple times a week. Here she is, "enjoying" bath time:
