In an attempt to make my house more "user friendly" for the five people who live here, Timmy and I decided to tear down the screened in porch off the back of the house and frame it in to make a den/tv room. The room could be used as a bedroom in the future if the kids get on each other's nerves. The plan is to put a tv out there, the computer, and a sleeper sofa that guests could use. We will also have double french doors on the back that go out to a landing and steps into the backyard. We needed a new roof and efficient windows anyway, so we got a loan and we're doing it all at one time.
When you step into the room, this is the wall to your right. It will have two windows on it.

Out the back of the room. The big opening will be for french doors that lead into the backyard.

Putting up plywood. It's easier to see how the room will take shape with the walls up. And yes, that's the current hubby, ex hubby, and current father in law working together...will wonders never cease.
